Thescarletroom; Paradise Surf Lookbook
Wardrobe: Thescarletroom
Model: Leehe Bardichev
It's been a really long while since I shot for TSR's Paradise Surf lookbook by the beach, and the sun was madness that very day but the photos probably wouldn't have turned out well if it wasn't for the sun and blue skies. This was also the very first time I worked with a caucasian for a shoot, and standing beside Leehe made me feel like a midget. She's 15 years old and she was towering over me at about 1.7m tall. I loved how the colours turned out and the surprisingly good spots that we found where the sunlight hit the perfect spot.
It's A-U-G-U-S-T already! Time is passing a little too fast but August is undoubtedly one of my favourite months of the year. No prizes for guessing why! August is extremely packed with shoots but I'm stoked because there are a couple of shoots I am really excited about and work is picking up more than ever so I'm really thankful and happy about it. Work > Sleep. But before the wave hits, I'm heading to Taiwan with the boyfriend for the birthday week! It's truly a well-deserved break for the both of us and even more so for me before August (really) sets in. Dan says I can't bring my work along because I really ought to cut myself some slack for a bit and bask in each other's company <3 He's a total sweetheart in making an overseas trip happen knowing I love spending each and every year of my birthday elsewhere apart from Singapore.
Sometimes when I think of how I need to get back to work the next day, just a few hours after I touch down and I wanna cringe. But, I'm lucky because I get to do what I love. Constant reminder to self.
As what the boyfriend and I recite all the time- " We work hard, we play hard." Cue Guetta's Play Hard song.
GOODBYE SINGAPORE, AND HELLO TAIPEI! :D

Hi Fiona! what lense do you usually use for your shoots?
how do you determine how far to stand? i meant comparing 50mm & 35mm, which one require you to stand further?
Thanks for answering :)
hi babe, what hotel did you stay in taipei? :)
Hi dear, I usually use a 50mm f1.4. The 50mm would definitely require you to stand further because it offers a narrower view than the 35mm. (:
Hi babe, I stayed in Inhouse Hotel and the boy and I love it (:
